About the Role

This role provides additional administrative support to the Surgical and Medical Ward Charge Nurse Managers (CNM) to allow them to focus on clinical leadership and improving standards of care. The role covers several wards, so you will be working alongside a number of Charge Nurse Managers here at Southland Hospital.

You will join a team of three Ward Manager Administrators, with your two colleagues based in Dunedin covering the medical and surgical directorates.

You will have an opportunity to help improve the timeliness of the important administrative aspects of the Charge Nurse Manager’s job which are often delayed due to competing clinical leadership demands. There is potential for great job satisfaction assisting Charge Nurse Managers to complete these activities which will contribute to a safe and effective service.

The purpose of this role is to build standardised practice around the administrative component of the CNM role which you will develop and introduce alongside your Dunedin based counterparts. Regular online meetings are held to allow you to collaborate and support each other.

See position description.
