We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Speech-Language Therapist to join us here in beautiful Dunedin at our hospital as a part of our very supportive and friendly team.

About the team

Our speech-language therapy team are close knit and supportive with a mix of skills and experience. We are excited about innovative practice and strive to provide an equitable and evidence-based service for our clients and their whānau. Our team is in the midst of learning FEES procedure, so if these are skills that you would like to acquire this is a great opportunity. There are professional development opportunities both in-house and the potential to study in your own personal areas of interest as a part of your work here.

About the Role

 

You will be based in our Speech-Language Therapy department at Dunedin Hospital with our supportive and dynamic team of therapists. The role will be tailored to your experience and skillset within the acute hospital setting.

About you

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Experienced Speech-Language Therapist to join our team. This role is ideal for a clinician with 5+ years of experience who has a strong interest and/or expertise in Critical Care, FEES (Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing), Head and Neck Cancer, Voice, and/or Stroke

Key Requirements:

 

  • 5+ years of clinical experience
  • Experience and/or interest in Critical Care, FEES, Head and Neck Cancer, Voice, Tracheostomy and/or Stroke
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and teamwork skills
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Therapy
  • Current Annual Practising Certificate with the New Zealand Speech-Language Therapy Association (NZSTA) and evidence of specialist competencies.

Salary Range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the Allied, Public Health, Scientific & Technical CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the Pay Scale, between Step 1 $77,087 and Step 8 $110,210 p.a pro rata dependant on relevant experience.
