  • Permanent, part-time position
  • 0.5 FT (20 hours per week)

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Speech-Language Therapist to join us here in beautiful Dunedin at our hospital as a part of our very supportive and friendly team.

About the team

Our speech-language therapy team are close knit and supportive with a mix of skills and experience. We are excited about innovative practice and strive to provide an equitable and evidence-based service for our clients and their whānau. Our team is in the midst of learning FEES procedure as well as BISSkit, so if these are skills that you would like to acquire this is a great opportunity. There are professional development opportunities both in-house and the potential to study in your own personal areas of interest as a part of your work here.

 

Mō te tūranga | About the role

You will be based in our Speech-Language Therapy department at Dunedin Hospital with our supportive and dynamic team of therapists. The role will be tailored to your experience and skillset, and you will have the opportunity to cover older person’s health rehabilitation, acute medical, respiratory, and surgical wards.

Mōu ake | About you

Ideally you will bring to us at least 2-3 years’ clinical experience to this position. This is a role for someone with energy and enthusiasm for Speech Language Therapy who can manage their caseload while supporting the growth of other therapists. We are looking for a Speech Language Therapist who enjoys working with an established team, has excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is driven and proactive in their ongoing development of advanced skills. You will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Therapy and hold an Annual Practising Certificate with the New Zealand Speech-Language Therapy Association.

Utu whānui |Salary range

This role belongs to the PSA/DHBs Allied, Public Health and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($77,087 p.a.) and Step 7 ($107,600 p.a. pro rata) of the Allied, Public Health and Technical scale.
