Health NZ has an exciting opportunity for a Sonographer to join our Radiology department right here at Dunedin Hospital on a fulltime fixed term basis until April 2026.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
Our Ultrasound Department is well appointed with the latest technology and our staff enjoy the variety of cases they see daily. We encourage a team-focused approach to the service we deliver and excellent time management and decision making skills are essential as well as the ability to work under pressure.
Supported in your role by a tight knit team, you’ll foster a culture within a unit that continues to strive for excellence in clinical services and focuses on patient centred care. You’ll work across all areas of ultrasound – general, vascular, paediatric, obstetric, and every other aspect you can think of. You’ll also work with a radiologist to assist on interventional procedures.
Mōu ake | About you
The position itself calls for an experienced, approachable and professional individual, with a team-based approach and an affinity with both patients and staff alike. You will contribute to positive change within the department, and operate with an all-inclusive approach. Your communication skills will be refined and you will be a team player through and through.
You will need to be a qualified Sonographer registered with the NZ Medical Radiation Technologist Board (NZMRTB) and hold a current Practicing Certificate.
