About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Respiratory Physiologist to join our Diagnostic Testing Department at Dunedin Hospital on a full-time, permanent basis where we deliver a full range of cardiac, respiratory and sleep testing. The department is staffed by 4 physiologists and admin support who work to deliver a high-quality service to our patients. We work closely with the respiratory physicians and undertake diagnostic and monitoring testing in adults and children for GPs and other medical departments. We are a supportive and encouraging team who strive to do our best and encourage all team members to develop their skills enabling them to work at top of scope. Our Laboratory is accredited with the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand.
This role belongs to the APEX National Clinical Physiology Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($74,842 p.a. pro-rata) and Step 7 ($104,466 p.a. pro-rata).

About you
We are looking for someone who can perform all respiratory diagnostic tests independently to a high standard, with an eye for detail and has an interest in quality control and service development.
You will also have or be able to obtain/demonstrate:-
- APC from Clinical Physiologists Registration Board
- At least 2 years post-graduate experience
- The ability to train, mentor and supervise junior staff
- Excellent communication skills
- An open mind to change or an enabler of change within an organisation
