Mō te tūranga | About the role

  • Be part of a close-knit team of four Paediatricians and eight Resident Medical Officers, supported by a nursing team, Play Specialist, Allied Health and support staff, providing comprehensive medical, orthopaedic and surgical services to patients from birth through to 16 years of age.
  • Excellent support and opportunities for development through a high level of SMO contact and supervision
  • The opportunity to see children with wide and varied pathologies, in a service supported by strong links with tertiary providers throughout New Zealand.
  • The role varies to provide a comprehensive general Paediatric service, a number of clinic options, and a level two Neonatal service that supports up to 1600 deliveries per annum. 

 

Mōu ake | About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.  You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council’s website at www.mcnz.org.nz
  • A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience and having a keen interest in Paediatrics

 

It is requirement of the NZ Medical Council that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion. Utu whānui |Salary range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of New Zealand Resident Doctors’ Association & Health New Zealand RMO Collective Agreement 18 June 2024 – 31 July 2026 (NZRDA MECA) and Specialty Trainees of New Zealand and Te Whau Ora Health New Zealand RMO Collective Agreement 14 February 2024 – 28 February 2026 (the STONZ SECA) and the salary will fall between $127,338 - $240,440 dependant on relevant experience.
