Mō te tūranga | About the role

Ward 9C is a busy open 16 bed inpatient facility comprising of 2 acute youth beds and 14 acute adult beds with dedicated staff providing 24 hour care. The service caters to clients who have been assessed as requiring a period of increased assessment, investigations and/or interventions that cannot be safely provided for in the community.

 

Admissions come via Community Mental Health Teams or the Emergency Psychiatric Service, and cover of all the major psychiatric diagnoses. Optimise care for patients with the full range of general adult mental health disorders, including youth, mothers and babies, and eating disorders.

Mōu ake | About you

Our successful candidate will:

  • Be a New Zealand Registered Nurse and hold a current APC
  • Have a scope of practice that enables you to work in Mental Health.  
  • Hold a full NZ drivers licence.
  • Previous Mental Health experience is an advantage

Utu whānui |Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the Step 1 (35.20 per hour) and Step 7 ($49.67 per hour)
