Salary Band – $81,000 - $106,000 p.a prorata + Kiwisaver

About the role

  • Advance your nursing skills caring for complex and varied patient specialties,
  • Care for respiratory patients develops competence in skills such as CPAP, BiPAP and chest drain management,
  • Cardiothoracic specialty includes a mix of thoracic and open-heart surgery patients.
  • Assist patients through their recovery journey while managing their temporary epicardial pacing, central lines, ECG interpretation, chest drains and surgical wounds,
  • Together, these specialties provide the opportunity to build a high level of knowledge and skills to further enhance your nursing abilities,
  • Additionally, medical patients and outlying specialties further compliment the diversity of the ward,
  • Collaborate with other departments in the hospital.

About you

  • Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, 
  • Must already hold NZ work rights as we are unable to offer visa sponsorship with this role
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
  • Previous experience in High Dependency, Acute or Coronary Care skills and Level 6 CPR would certainly be an advantage

Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 2 ($81,683 p.a) and Step 7 ($106,739 p.a prorata) of the RN scale
