Mō te tūranga | About the role
Community Forensic Team based at Wakari Hospital comprises of an MDT that provides mental health services to the local prisons, district courts and a small community caseload.
The role comprises working with people with a known or suspected mental health illness referred from a prison setting for assessment and and/or treatment. The role includes working with patients in the community and providing a liaison service to
other Mental Health Services, the Courts and Correction Services. You will actively contribute as a functional and committed member of the multi-disciplinary team.
We are looking for an experienced Mental Health or Comprehensive Nurse to join our supportive multi-disciplinary team. Ideally you have experience working in a forensic setting. You will be an enthusiastic Registered Nurse with a range of skills
and the ability to work effectively with a large team to a high standard of practice. To be successful in this role you must be positive with expectional communication skills, you will also have a passion for supporting people with mental illness.

Mōu ake | About You
- You must be a New Zealand Registered Nurse, with a current APC and mental health sector experience or an interest in Mental Health.
- Hold current NZ registration and an APC
- Hold a full drivers licence
