If you are looking for a new challenge and enjoy variety in your work, then our Nursing Resource Unit wants to speak to you! Our Nursing Resource Unit at Southland Hospital has a pool of Registered Nurses who work across all wards of the hospital, and we are inviting applications for experienced and motivated Registered Nurses to join our team.
We are interested in hearing from enthusiastic Registered Nurses who would be able to adapt to any ward situation. This really is the role which will offer variety, pace and flexibility. The opportunities available are across all shifts 24/7 (incl. night shifts).
These positions are 0.9FTE (36 hours per week) – but we may be able to provide some flexibility so do talk to us about what might work for you.

We’re looking for Nurses who are experienced and organised, friendly and calm, able to work independently and at the same time genuinely interested in the best outcome for both patient and team. To be considered the candidates must have or demonstrate:
- Must have current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand.
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals.
- Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused.

Utu whānui | Salary range
This role belongs to the DHB/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 2 ($79,304 p.a. pro-rata) and Step 7 ($$103,630 p.a. pro-rata) on the Registered Nurses Salary Scale.
