Salary Band – $81,000 - $106,000 p.a. pro-rata + Kiwisaver

About the role

The District Nursing service provides comprehensive nursing care in the Ōamaru area.

  • Undertake specialist wound care (including ACC), intravenous medications administration, palliative care, catheter management and much more.
  • The service is closely linked to Dunedin and Ōamaru hospitals to help ensure patients are supported safely in the community after hospital discharge while also maintaining close liaison with local GP practices, Hospice and residential facilities.
  • Adapt and increase your clinical skills to become a ‘specialist generalist’. 
  • Out and about working in different places and each hour is varied from the next.
  • Plan and implement care to a diverse range of patients in the community,
  • Work collaboratively with enrolled nurses and healthcare assistants.

About you

  • Registered in accordance with the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 as a Registered Nurse and have a current practicing certificate.
  • Passionate, committed, and enthusiastic nurse who has a positive attitude.
  • A full clean driver licence is also essential for this role.

Salary range

This role belongs to the DHB/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 2 ($81,683 p.a. pro-rata) and Step 7 ($106,739) p.a. pro-rata of the Registered Nurse Salary Scale.
