Mō te tūranga | About the role
We are looking for a Registered Nurse (ideally with surgical and community experience) to work a dual role within our District Nursing Services. A Registered Nurse is required to work a flexible split of District Nursing 0.4FTE and Stomal Therapy 0.2FTE to meet the fluctuating needs of these services.
Stomal Therapy patients are supported pre surgery and post discharge and are seen in the hospital and clinic setting on a Monday – Friday basis. District Nurses work in the community setting seven days a week.

We’re looking for a registered nurse with a genuine interest in patients undergoing bowel surgery. You will also have:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to educate patients and their families
- Good organisational skills
- Adaptability and flexibility within the role – able to prioritise as required.
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of team in a collaborative manner in this small specialised service.
- A current New Zealand Registration and APC.

Utu whānui | Salary range
This role belongs to the DHB/NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 2 ($72,061 p.a. pro-rata) and Step 7 ($95,340) p.a. pro-rata of the Registered Nurse Salary Scale.
