Mō te tūranga | About the role
Ward 11 rehabilitation/transition mental health unit is a 16 bed inpatient unit working with those on their mental health recovery journey. Rehabilitation/sub-acute setting, for adults who have a long-term mental illness and co-existing problems.
Ward 11 is entering a period of change that will see patients transition out of the service, and will close the ward.
To support our service requirements in the short term, positions are available on a fixed term basis for a period of between 6 and 18 months, however the exact dates are unable to be specified at the outset, due to the nature of change we are entering.

Our ideal candidate will have:
- Registration with the Nursing Council of NZ and a current APC with a scope that allows you to practice in mental health
- Exceptional communication skills with a non-judgmental manner along with a positive attitude
- Additional clinical skills in the areas of physical health and addictions could be a significant advantage
- Experience working within an adult mental health environment

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 1 ($73,566 p.a) and Step 7 ($103,630 p.a prorata) of the RN scale
