Southern District Health Board has multiple exciting opportunities for you to make your mark.  We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Radiation Therapists to join our friendly team in Dunedin Hospital on a permanent full-time basis as well as full-time, fixed-term until June 2024. 

 

Mō te tūranga | About the role

The position involves working as part of a dynamic team utilising innovative technology and new initiatives to deliver contemporary radiation therapy to patients within the Otago and Southland regions. 

 

We have several exciting developments in the department with a new Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator matched with the Elekta Versa HD installed in 2018.  We have recently installed BrainLab with Exactrac on our existing Varian Truebeam to continue to provide the National Stereotactic Radiotherapy and Radiosurgery Service for New Zealand and enhance our established SABR program.  A new Siemens go. Open Pro CT with Varian Respiratory Gating system and a number of other radiation oncology specific features. The department utilises the full suite of Elekta software including Monaco Treatment Planning System and MOSAIQ Patient Management System.

To succeed in this role you will need to have:

  • Current registration with the MRTB and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
  • Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
