About the Role

This role will be responsible for the coordination of activities for Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) within Health New Zealand Southern. You will ensure that all aspects of RMO rosters are coordinated effectively, and in a compliant manner. The RMO Advisor will support RMOs by facilitating leave and expense claim requests while building relationships with this group as well as the wider hospital.

Tasks will include but not limited to

  • Management of RMO rosters, including seeking cover and entering RMO hours into the payroll system
  • Building and maintaining relationships across the Southern district
  • Liaising with agencies with regards to the temporary placement of locum RMOs
  • Provision of cover to the wider team when they are on leave
