Psychologist – Youth Specialty Service

Salary range - $77,478 and Step 10 $111,719 + Kiwisaver

Mō te tūranga | About the role

The Youth Specialty Service in Dunedin provides support and treatment for youth experiencing moderate to severe mental health issues, including support to family.

 

This position will see you managing a caseload, providing assessment, treatment and co-working to facilitate the best outcome for the patient and family.  You will enjoy working collaboratively alongside other experienced clinical staff to promote healthy family systems and be able to form sound links with external agencies.

Mōu ake | About you

  • Possess a positive attitude, a strong sense of self-awareness and personal resilience.
  • Previous demonstrated experience of applying appropriate youth focused mental health interventions, with a strong emphasis on family inclusion and family therapy for youth.
  • Current registration with the NZ Psychologists Board and a current Annual Practicing Certificate with a Clinical Scope of Practice.
  • Thrive in a busy and diverse working environment, with the ability to work well in stressful situations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to clinical and professional development, including continuous learning and updating of skills and knowledge.

Utu whānui | Salary range

This role belongs to the Allied, Public Health, Scientific, and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement (Expires June 2023) and falls between Step 1 ($77,478 p.a) and Step 10 ($111,719 p.a).
