Salary Band $90,000 - $110,000

Mō te tūranga | About the role
Our Facilities & Property Services team have a vacancy for a Project Manager to join the team and manage construction projects, from renovation/refurbishment/relocation projects, to building new theatres and installing new technology and cutting -edge medical equipment, as well as energy reduction/decarbonisation projects as we move towards a carbon zero future.
This role will be responsible for leading some of these projects across the region, from Southland to Queenstown, to Dunedin. Our team manages the projects from concept design through to construction and handover and works closely with the wider HNZ Southern staff. Given the nature of duties you may need to travel to other locations within the HNZ Southern region in order to fulfil the requirements of the role.
A challenging, yet rewarding role, you will oversee the day to day running of these capital projects, ensuring a compliant, efficient, and safe operation. You will work alongside the team at the Building and Property department to ensure the success of these projects and help improve the health and wellbeing of our community.
Mōu ake | About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects
- A relevant qualification in an Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management field
- Relevant certification in project management such as PRINCE2
- Previous experience working on Capital Projects with multimillion dollar budgets
- Knowledge of the healthcare environment would be hugely beneficial
