About the Role | Mō te tūranga

 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Physiotherapist to join our outpatient team at Southland Hospital. This role focuses on musculoskeletal and general outpatients, with potential opportunities to develop expertise in pelvic health, vestibular rehabilitation, seating and wheelchair assessment, or hand therapy.

 

As part of our small and supportive team, you will gain broad clinical experience and develop a well-rounded skill set. Rather than specialising in a single area, you will work across different settings, enhancing your adaptability and professional growth. Your role will evolve to meet service needs, with opportunities to contribute to acute and rehabilitation settings when required.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide physiotherapy services to a varied outpatient caseload.
  • Develop skills in hand therapy, pelvic health, vestibular rehabilitation, or seating and wheelchair assessment if desired.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development.
  • Contribute to mentoring and teaching within the team.
  • Work flexibly across clinical settings as required by the service.

We are seeking a proactive, adaptable Physiotherapist with a passion for outpatient rehabilitation and continuous learning.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Degree in Physiotherapy and current Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand registration.
  • Minimum three years’ physiotherapy experience.
  • An interest in pelvic health, vestibular rehabilitation, Seating and Wheelchair assessment or hand therapy is desirable.

Salary Range | Utu whānui

 

$88,627 – $110,210 per annum (pro-rata) in line with the PSA Allied Health SECA (steps 3 – 8).
