- Salary Band - APEX MECA - $69,975 to $84,193 pa pro-rata + Kiwi Saver
Our Pharmacy Department at Southland Hospital is seeking a positive and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly and supportive team.
Mō te tūranga / About the Role
The role will include stock control, ward supply, in and out patient dispensing, non-sterile compounding, and assisting in the general day to day running of the dispensary.

Hospital experience is preferred and you will possess strong time management, planning, and organisational skills. Naturally, you will be an excellent communicator, and a trusted and positive team player. It is also essential you can pick things up quickly, perform in an accurate and precise manner and work well within a diverse and ever-changing environment.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
- Appropriate New Zealand recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals
- Excellent time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
- The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused
- High levels of personal and professional integrity

Utu whānui |Salary range
This role belongs to the APEX Pharmacy Collective Agreement and falls between Step 3 ($69,975) and Step 7 ($84,193) p.a pro rata of the Pharmacy Technician scale.
