We are seeking a passionate Allied Health Team Coordinator to support our Ophthalmology services at Dunedin Hospital. This key leadership role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated team, champion innovation in patient care, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge service delivery in a collaborative and supportive environment.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and operational management for the Ophthalmology Allied Health team.
  • Coordinating and optimizing patient care pathways.
  • Developing and delivering professional development plans for team members.
  • Supporting the implementation of efficient and patient-focused models of care.
  • Collaborating across teams to achieve service objectives and deliver equitable care.

Mōu ake | About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Hold a recognized qualification in an Allied Health discipline.
  • Be registered with the relevant professional body.
  • Have proven experience in a clinical leadership or senior role.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Be committed to equity and excellence in patient care.

Previous experience in Ophthalmology is advantageous but not essential.

Utu whānui | Salary Range

This role is covered by the DHB/PSA Allied, Public Health, Scientific & Technical Collective Agreement. The salary band is between $90,000 and $105,000 p.a. pro-rata, dependent on experience.
