Here at Dunedin Hospital, we put the patient at the centre of everything we do. The team are a close-knit group of professionals with a mix of new and long serving team members that are excited to welcome and support you to our team. We work closely with our discharging communities and colleagues across the region. Dunedin is a teaching hospital and tertiary centre, that has several opportunities for allied health professionals as we start planning service transition to the new outpatient building and hospital.

 

Mō te tūranga | About the role

This role will see you based within the acute inpatient Dietetic and Nutrition team at Dunedin Hospital. The caseload will extend across the acute medical, surgical and rehabilitative settings. A special interest in respiratory (including Cystic Fibrosis), surgical   or oncology focussed Dietetic care would be advantageous.

This role offers variety and will capitalise on your passion for dietetic care across the continuum of healthcare and requires the applicant to understand  prescribing of enteral and IV nutrition. You will work alongside the wider Multidisciplinary teams and extend knowledge and skills across your caseload. The wider team also provides additional learning opportunities and support as you explore areas for future career development.

The Dunedin Dietetic team offers supervision and ongoing professional development. As a New Zealand Registered Dietitian, holding a current Annual Practicing Certificate with Dietitian Prescriber endorsement you may have a role in supervision of early career dietitians within the wider dietitian team.

Utu whānui |Salary range

This role belongs to the PSA/DHB Allied, Public Health and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 3 ($86,045 p.a.) to Step 10 ($113,000 p.a)
