Mō te tūranga | About the role

  • Working in a close-knit team, you will have excellent access to your Registrar & Consultant, and unrivalled opportunities to experience many of the varied presentations to the hospital. 
  • You will be exposed to a number of medical situations that will equip you well for future training Registrar roles.

We’re looking for Doctors who want to level up, grow their areas of interest, and work with specialists who know their name.   Working in a variety of runs across specialties such as General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ED, Psychiatry, Paediatrics and O&G, House Officers have excellent opportunities to flourish while being able to visit the many wonderful places living in the South has to offer.  With a daily commute of less than 10 minutes and access to free – yes free – parking, the opportunities for a better work life balance are endless.

 

 

 Mōu ake | About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.  You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council’s website at www.mcnz.org.nz
  • A minimum of 1 year post qualification experience

It is requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion. Utu whānui |Salary range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of New Zealand Resident Doctors’ Association & 20 DHB Multi Employer Collective 17 June 2024 – 31 July 2026 (NZRDA SECA) and Specialty Trainees of New Zealand and 20 District Health Boards Multi Employer Collective Agreement 14 February 2024 – 28 February 2026 (the STONZ SECA) and the salary will fall between $76,000 - $159,620 dependant on relevant experience.
