We have a team of eight specialists, nine registrars and seven house officers are based at Southland Hospital.

About you

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.  You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council’s website at www.mcnz.org.nz
• A minimum of 2 years post qualification experience, and a keen interest in providing acute and elective surgical care to our community

It is requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand, it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion.
