Mō te tūranga | About the role
Dunedin Hospital provides a full range of tertiary services and the Emergency Department delivers all aspects of Emergency Medicine practice including major trauma reception, fracture management, procedural sedation and paediatric emergency medicine. Close links with the University of Otago and the National Poisons Centre mean the department has a strong and active interest in point-of-care ultrasound, toxicology and simulation. The department is accredited for advanced training by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine and sees approximately 47,000 patients per year with a full and varied spectrum of pathology.
Mōu ake | About you
Applicants must have completed their specialist training, and already eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You would need to be able to cover the whole period - from June - August 2023.
