Working at Dunedin Hospital you will provide a full range of neurological services alongside enthusiastic colleagues.  This may include contributing to clinical neurophysiology and botulinum toxin clinics.    

 

Mō te tūranga | About the role
Our Neurology service provides both inpatient and outpatient services to our community and you will contribute to outreach clinics at regional hospitals in the southern region. An acute service for emergencies is provided , so your role has a 1:5/6 on-call rota (8am – 6pm). We are a tertiary level hospital with a full range of elective and acute surgical specialities and can offer you a varied and challenging array of work. Ideally, we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience to complement our team:

  • A team player with exceptional interpersonal skills who builds effective relationships both within and external to their team
  • Is solution focussed and can demonstrate excellent decision making and priority setting in a clinical environment
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and passing on their knowledge to junior members of staff

 

Mōu ake | About you
You will need to have the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) or equivalent qualification and must hold, or be eligible for, vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council.

Utu whānui |Salary range
This role belongs to the ASMS Collective Agreement and falls between the Step 1 ($185,380) and Step 15 ($267,980 per annum pro rata)
