About the Role

The role involves working alongside other Allied Health team members to plan and provide patient-centred rehabilitation to our community across the continuum of care from in-reaching into the hospital and supporting them in their own homes.

Within this position, you will support the discharge of appropriate patients from Southland Hospital. You will work under the direction and delegation of a registered health professional to provide services in both an inpatient setting and the patient’s home.

 

About you

You will be experienced in the field of rehabilitation and will have a natural empathy for the people. You will have a sense of humour and innate ability to motivate others that will provide a positive impact for our patients and clients. 
 

To be successful in this role, you will also need to demonstrate the following:

 

  • Have previous knowledge/experience of rehabilitation exercises, including a knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to work autonomously and have an appropriate level of fitness.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including a high level of verbal and written skills.
  • Clean and full, class one driver’s license.
  • Highly adaptable and flexible to change.
