About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Administration Officer to join our team on a permanent basis.  Our Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) holds a key function within Dunedin Hospital providing a coordination centre and overview of the patient flow across the hospital and district We have several services as part of the IOC, Duty Managers 24/7, Discharge/ Transit Lounge, National Travel Assistance Team and a Nursing Resource Unit that has a pool of Registered Nurses and Health Care Assistants who work across all wards in the hospital, wherever the demand may be that day.


In this position you will be carrying out a wide range of administrative duties for the IOC Team. You will have a varied role from coordinating patient transport to assist with the onboarding of staff.  You will be required to assist with the collation of monthly reports, processing month end invoices, and other ad hoc administrative duties as required to ultimately provide an efficient and timely administrative support function that is responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the service.


This is a fast-paced environment, and experienced applicants will thrive in this busy service.
 

This is a Monday to Friday role, between the hours of 8am – 5pm. Some flexibility for start and finish times may be required from time to time.

About you

Naturally you will have a warm, friendly and welcoming nature, and as an experienced administrator will be skilled at juggling multiple priorities. Resilience is also key in this fast-paced service!
 

Ideally you will bring the following skills and experience:
•    Previous experience in a busy administration role
•    Competent and confident using the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
•    Excellent word processing and data entry skills with a strong eye for detail
•    Flexible approach with the ability to successfully prioritise your workload

•    Respectful nature handling confidential, often sensitive information in a professional manner
•    Excellent communication with a natural flair for fostering positive relationships
