Mō te tūranga | About the role

Our Emergency Department is an exceptionally busy service and provides care for thousands of attendees every year.  As an Administration Officer – Dispatch in the Emergency Department you will contribute to the smooth running of this service by providing an efficient and timely support function that is responsive and flexible to the changing needs of the organisation.

 

This role has a strong focus on records management, maintaining our information database and maintaining tidy storage areas so records can be quickly retrieved when required.

 

Please note our administrators work on a rotating roster Monday to Sunday, so it is essential you are flexible and available to work across all shift patterns.

 

Shift patterns consist of

  • Afternoon 4pm - 12am
  • Night 12am - 8am
  • Weekend/Stat Day Morning 8am - 4pm

  • Have previous administration experience
  • Be efficient and able to access to information quickly
  • The ability to be discrete is an absolute requirement
  • Ability to work in a structured environment with repetitive tasks

 

You must be a team player with very good communication skills, who understands and appreciates the need for attention to detail. In addition, your strong computer and systems knowledge will see you succeed in this position.

Utu whānui |Salary range

This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the PSA South Island Clerical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and the salary will be in accordance with the National Health Administration Workers Pay Scale, Band 1B between Step 1 $57,291 to Step 3 $63,630 pa pro rata dependant on relevant experience.
