This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced NZ Registered Nurses to join our friendly and supportive team in the Maternity Unit at Southland Hospital, Invercargill.


You will be using your valuable nursing experience to provide the best possible care to our women and babies as they set out on their new parenting journey. If you have an interest in working within a maternity setting, and passion for women’s health, this is the kind of opportunity that does not come along every day.


About You

We are looking for Registered Nurses with a real desire to work with women and babies at this life changing time. Ideally, you will have experience working with families, preferably within a maternity or paediatric setting.  If you hold previous experience in supporting mothers with breastfeeding would be great but is not essential as training will be given.


To succeed in this role you will need to:


  • Possess excellent assessment skills
  • Have a passion and focus for working with families/whanau with compassion and kindness
  • Be an exceptional team player who has strong communication skills
  • Be a Registered Nurse with a current APC for New Zealand

This position is a 40 hour per week role, requiring you to be available for a variety of rostered shifts.
