About the role

The Hospital in the Home team is a dedicated team servicing 5 'virtual beds' based in the patients home.

  • Care for acute patients in a virtual ward setting travelling to the patients home.
  • Assess and treat patients who are still considered inpatient under hospital care.
  • Liase closely with the Medical Assessment Unit and the Home team. 
  • Our service is compassionate, friendly and we are committed to high standards of practice.
  • Rostered morning 10 hour shifts covering 7 days per week.

About you

  • Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council 
  • 3 Years experience in an acute setting
  • Previous experience in NZ community nursing.
  • Full clean NZ drivers licence 
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously
  • Ideally have or working towards PDRP

Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 4 ($91,179 p.a) and Step 7 ($106,739 p.a prorata) of the RN scale
