Mō te tūranga | About the role

 

In your role as Caseloading Midwife you will be working independently with the support of the  wider team encompassing other caseloading midwives, administration, core midwives, obstetric colleagues at the base hospital, and a unit midwifery manager. We have a women-centered approach to our care, and you will be making a real difference to the patient experience for these pregnant people and their whānau.

You will also have the opportunity to be a part of a wider caseloading midwives’ community across the region. Education opportunities specific to your role will be available and your professional development will be encouraged and supported.

To be considered for this role you will need to:

  • Be a Registered Midwife
  • Hold a current annual practicing certificate for New Zealand
  • Have excellent communication and the ability to easily build rapport with people from all walks of life
  • Be passionate about midwifery and have a real desire to provide the best care possible

Utu whānui |Salary range

 

This role falls under the terms and conditions of the MERAS Midwives Collective Agreement (1 February 2024 – 30 April 2025), Caseloading Midwives Scale, between Step 1 and Step 2, $130,864 to $132,941 per annum, pro rata
