The Southern DHB now has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Mental Health Professional to join our Gore based Community Mental Health team working with patients with serious mental illness in a community setting. Within this position you will be responsible for case management, assessing, maintaining and managing clinical risk.

While this position is based in Gore, the Southern Rivers Team also works across the Clutha District.

The successful candidate may be required to take part in an on-call after hours’ roster supporting the Southern Rivers Community Mental Health Team Clutha District crisis service. You may receive specialist Duly Authorised Officer (Mental Health Act 1992 and amendments) training. Remuneration for these duties is in addition to the usual salary scale for a community nurse.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Gore Community Mental Health Team whilst gaining experience and upskilling in a community setting. To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to meet the demands of a busy workload to a high standard.

You must be a New Zealand Registered Health Professional with a current APC – Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker and hold a full NZ driver licence.
