Wakari Hospital is seeking fabulous Mental Health Care Assistants to join us to provide valuable support to our nursing staff. The Mental Health Care Assistant role is the ideal way for you to kick start your career in health, so come and join us!
Mō te tūranga | About the role
As a Mental Health Care Assistant you will be involved in:
- Supporting our nurses and other members of the health care team
- Patient movement
- Patient cares, as required
- Stock reconciliation
- Ward maintenance
- Patient watch/supervision, with one on one care as required
Mōu ake | About you
We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who are dynamic, friendly and can demonstrate a high level of initiative. You will be committed to high standards of practice, be well organised and have excellent communication skills.
It is important that candidates are motivated, flexible, have a level of maturity about them and of course plenty of enthusiasm. Experience working with people in a caring capacity is also essential, whether than experience is gained from within a professional environment, or from caring for children or family members.
