Health Promotion Advisor – Cervical Screening

Wakari Hospital, Dunedin

 

  • Fixed term, part time 0.8 FTE (32 Hours per week)
  • Parental leave cover until 15 July 2022

 

The Southern DHB Population Service currently have a vacancy best suited to applicants with experience in Heath Promotion or Education. If you have a good sense of humour, welcome diversity, and are a team player then this could be the opportunity you are looking for! This position best suits someone with a good sense of humour, and a high level of resilience. 

 

About you

You will have the confidence to discuss Cervical Screening, Breast Screening and HPV. Possess excellent interpersonal skills with a sound understanding of equity within the New Zealand context. You will also have excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

 

In this role you will work autonomously and as part of a team. You will be competent with planning and implementation with good communication skills and the ability to support and educate.

 

As this role is reliant on self-motivated you will have strong time management and organisational skills, you will be able to work independently, problem solve and use your initiative. skills along with outstanding communication skills and be computer literate.

 

You need to be able to travel throughout the Southern District and hold a full clean driver licence.
