Mō te tūranga | About the role

If you like variety and like to be busy, this could be perfect. We have a vacancy now for a permanent Health Care Assistant to join our team. It is important that you are motivated, flexible, have a level of maturity and of course plenty of enthusiasm. If you have high standards, good organisational skills and a proven ability to carry out manual tasks, we would love to hear from you!  Duties will be varied in may include:-

 

  • Supporting our nurses and other members of the health care team
  • Patient supervision and/or movement
  • Patient cares as required
  • Stock reconciliation
  • Ward maintenance
  • Patient watch, with one-on-one care as required

 

Mōu ake | About you

It is essential that you can communicate clearly and concisely and have a positive attitude towards work – a certain degree of fitness is also required to undertake these tasks.

 

Your previous experience dealing with people in a caring capacity, whether that is in an occupational capacity from a former place of work or by simply caring for your children or family members, will be the most relevant experience you can bring to this position.

Utu whānui |Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the Step 1 ($51,770 p.a) and Step 5 ($61,540 p.a prorata)
