Health Care Assistant

Assessment Treatment and Rehabilitation –Dunedin

  • Permanent fulltime position 1.0 FTE


We are looking for a positive and proactive Health Care Assistant to support our team within AT&R Service, Dunedin on a permanent fulltime basis.


This role will see you primarily focusing your attention to the overall needs of the unit. This is a varied role within a clinical environment and as an exceptional team player you will need to be able to take instruction and direction from the nurses on the ward, whilst having a helpful and team focused approach.


As a Health Care Assistant you will be involved in:

  • Supporting our nurses and other members of the healthcare team
  • Patient supervision and/or movement
  • Clerical duties as required
  • Stock reconciliation
  • Ward maintenance


We are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who are dynamic, friendly and demonstrate a high level of initiative who wish to join a service that is supportive, friendly, committed to high standards of practice and supports on-going professional development. You will be well organised, have a friendly attitude and excellent communication skills are essential.


We are a friendly and inclusive team and you will receive a full orientation onto the ward and training in all aspects of the role.
