Ward 11 Clinical Rehab – Wakari Hospital

Salary Band – $54,432 to $62,847 p.a prorata + Kiwisaver

Ward 11 rehabilitation/transition mental health unit is a 16 bed inpatient unit based at Wakari Hospital, Dunedin, we work with those on their mental health recovery journey. The unit is for adults who have a long term mental illness and co-existing problems. 

 

Mō te tūranga | About the role

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical skills, working alongside patients in a complex environment to meet their identified needs in a multi-disciplinary setting where the emphasis is on the delivery of safe client focused care in an ever changing dynamic setting. You’ll assess and treat patients with your exceptional nursing skills aiming for the best outcome, as well as communicating regularly with their families.

 

Mōu ake | About you

We are looking for an enthusiastic Enrolled Nurse, you’ll have a range of skills and the ability to work effectively with a large team to a high standard within your scope of practice, however if you are new to mental health and have an interest in this area training opportunities will be available.

 

To be successful in this role you must

  • be positive and have great communication skills
  • be able to take direction and work well as part of team

 

You will also be registered as an Enrolled Nurse with NCNZ (Enrolled Nurse Scope of Practice, NCNZ, 2010) and have a current Practicing Certificate.

Utu whānui |Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($54,432 p.a) and Step 4 ($62,8470 p.a prorata)
