Mō te tūranga | About the role

• Provide outpatient clinics and outreach services to people living in Invercargill and the wider Southland area.
• Work within an innovative service, with an integrated model of care across community and inpatient settings.
• Apply your experience to provide optimal assessment, treatment, and psychotherapy for those experiencing moderate to severe psychological distress.
• Apply diagnostics, formulation, treatment planning and cognitive therapy skills alongside our multi-disciplinary team.
• Provide follow-up to clients through a key worker/case manager system.

It is expected that you will also assist in the support and mentoring of intern psychologists.

• Motivated team player with exceptional communication and time management skills.
• Previous demonstrated experience of working with adult patients with mental illness in a community setting.
• Current registration with the NZ Psychologists Board and a current Annual Practicing Certificate with a Clinical Scope of Practice.
• Thrive in a busy and diverse working environment, with the ability to work well in stressful situations.
• Demonstrated commitment to clinical and professional development, including continuous learning and updating of skills and knowledge.

Utu whānui | Salary range

This role belongs to the DHBs/APEX Psychologists Multi-Employer Collective Agreement  and falls between Step 1 ($83,708 p.a) and Step 10 ($120,691 p.a pro rata).
