Clinical Psychologist - Community Forensic Services

Southland Hospital, Invercargill

About the Role

The role will see you working within the Community Forensic Services for 16 hours per week. The team is a small multidisciplinary team that provides comprehensive assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and monitoring of people identified within the criminal justice service as having mental health problems. The psychology role includes providing assessment reports to the court as well as providing treatment to individuals with mental health problems. There could also be an opportunity for this role to be combined with other clinical psychology vacancy. If this would be of interest, please indicate in your covering letter.

 

About You

The successful applicant will provide psychology services into the Forensic Team through consultation and advice, individual, group assessment and treatment, and community education and development. You’ll be an integral and valued member of a multidisciplinary team that ensures we provide our clients with assertive follow-up by maintaining contact with individuals through the key worker system. 

 

You must be a Registered Clinical Psychologist with The NZ Psychologist’s Board, hold a current practicing certificate and NZ driver licence to apply for this position.
