Salary Band – $52,260 - $55,590 p.a. pro-rata + Kiwisaver + car park

Mō te tūranga | About the role

We are looking for a mechanically minded person to join our Clinical Engineering team at Southland Hospital as a Clinical Engineer Technician Assistant.  In this position you’ll be able to put your engineering aptitude and skills to use learning how to test and maintain a variety of hospital equipment such as beds, hoists, oxygen concentrators to ensure these are safe and in good functional order. This will help allow clinical staff to achieve the best possible outcomes for their patients. On the job training will be provided.

We’re looking for a mechanically minded person that is able to handle the physically strenuous demands of this role,  To be successful in this position our ideal candidate will be:

  • Able to demonstrate an aptitude for mechanical work – (previous experience in the area of preventative maintenance is desirable but is not essential)
  • Curious about how things work
  • Computer literate
  • Positive and self-motivated
  • A team player
  • A great communicator

Utu whānui | Salary range $52,260 - $55,590

This role belongs to the DHB/PSA Allied, Public Health, Scientific & Technical Collective Agreement and falls between the Step 1 ($52,260 p.a. pro-rata) and Step 2 ($55,590 p.a. pro-rata)
