As an SLT in Southland, you'll work across a wide and professionally rewarding range of areas, enhancing your expertise and knowledge every step of the way. It’s a chance to put your versatile skills to best use - assisting patients with swallowing, stroke recovery, neuro-degenerative conditions, Parkinson's, and Motor Neuron Disease (MND). Look forward to extending your scope beyond clinical expertise as you’ll collaborate closely with medical teams, dieticians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and allied health assistants to shape and deliver comprehensive treatment plans. We like to think that, for you, this will be much more than a ‘job’ – we see it as your chance to explore your passion. Mōu ake | About you

We’re not looking for new or recently qualified SLTs – this role calls for professionals with solid experience, ideally with private practice experience with a focus on dysphagia. Just as important will be your excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide clear, concise, and accurate written communication.

Utu whānui |Salary range

This role belongs to the PSA/DHBs Allied, Public Health and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($74,842 p.a) and Step 7 ($104,466 p.a pro rata) of the Degree-Based Allied, Public Health and Technical scale.
